POST 01 / DISPATCH DESK

Truck dispatch service that reads the boards so you can drive

Our truck dispatch service works the load boards and our broker contacts all day. We check every broker and counter every offer above your floor rate. Then we bring the load to you. You say yes or no, and if it's yes, the rate con comes straight to your inbox.

  • 5% standard
  • 7% new MC, 26 ft box, hotshot
  • 4% fleets
  • No setup fee
  • Month-to-month

Got a posting in front of you right now? Call it out on the card. Type the lane, the miles and the offer, and see what it pays all-in once the empty miles to the pickup count. It's the first thing a good freight dispatcher does with any load, before the phone ever rings.

POST 02 / YOUR CALL

Every load comes to you before it's booked

Some dispatchers book first and tell you after. That's how drivers end up hauling freight they never wanted, for a rate they never saw. We don't work that way.

Here's the order on our desk. We find a posting that fits your lanes and home time. We check the broker and read what the posting leaves out. We counter. When the number clears your floor, we send you the load: lane, miles, rate, stops, appointment times and the terms that matter.

Say yes, and the broker sends the rate confirmation straight to you. You read it, you sign it, and it's your agreement with the broker, not ours. Say no, and the card goes back on the board. A load you turn down costs you nothing, and we go back to the phones.

That's the whole deal with our truck dispatch services. We do the searching, the calling and the arguing over money. You keep the final word on every load that goes on your truck.

EXAMPLE

The desk finds a posting

We work the boards and our broker contacts. This one is an EXAMPLE: 640 miles, offered at $1,280.

POST 03 / WHAT THE BOARD DOES NOT TELL YOU

What a posting leaves out, and what we check before we call

A posting is a sales pitch with a phone number on it. The rate looks one way on the screen and another once you count the empty miles, the hours at the dock and how long the broker takes to pay. Here are three EXAMPLE postings, read the way our desk reads them.

  • EXAMPLE

ATLANTA, GA > CHARLOTTE, NC VAN 245 MI $900

On the board: $3.67/mi on loaded miles. All-in: $2.22/mi.

What it leaves out: The truck is 160 miles from the pickup. The posting only shows loaded miles.

What we check: How far you are from the pickup, and whether there's a reload near Charlotte, before we counter.

    count the empty miles

  • EXAMPLE

FRESNO, CA > PHOENIX, AZ REEFER 590 MI $1,950

    On the board: $3.31/mi.

What it leaves out: Detention terms. Two free hours at the shipper, then nothing in writing about pay.

What we check: Detention and layover pay in writing before you say yes, so a six-hour wait at the dock pays something.

    get detention in writing

  • EXAMPLE

CHICAGO, IL > DALLAS, TX FLATBED 967 MI $2,600

    On the board: $2.69/mi.

What it leaves out: Who you're hauling for. A rate means little if the broker pays in 60 days, or never.

What we check: The broker's authority on FMCSA's public lookup, their payment terms and the usual double-brokering red flags.

    check the MC

Nobody has time for this at five in the morning with a reefer running and a pickup window closing. It's what our dispatchers do all day, for every truck on the desk. The broker check matters most: we look up operating authority and registration on FMCSA's public records before we counter, and we walk away from postings with the usual double-brokering warning signs.

POST 04 / THE FEE

What our trucking dispatch services cost, and why it's a percentage

We charge a percentage of the gross on loads you haul. No setup fee, no monthly minimum, no long contract. It's month-to-month, and you can cancel with 30 days notice.

  • 5% of gross: one truck, your own authority 6 months or older.
  • 7% of gross: new authority with an MC under 6 months, 26 ft box trucks and hotshots.
  • 4% of gross: two or more trucks. The fleet rate is limited-time.

Worried a percentage pushes a dispatcher toward cheap freight? Run it the other way. A $1,400 load at 5% pays us $70. A $2,000 load on the same lane pays us $100. Cheap freight pays us less too, so we're on your side of every counter. And you set the floor. If a load can't clear it, we tell you so instead of talking you into it.

Every week you get a written report of what you hauled, the gross, our fee and your empty miles. Below is an EXAMPLE of one week on a single dry van at the 5% rate, so you can see the format.

POST 05 / EQUIPMENT WE DISPATCH

Every truck on the board gets the same desk

We dispatch 26 ft box trucks and longer, hotshots, dry vans, reefers, flatbeds, step decks, power only, car haulers, dump trucks, oversize and hazmat tankers. Each one gets the same dispatchers, the same broker checks and the same rule about your yes or no. We don't dispatch cargo vans, sprinters or box trucks under 26 ft, and we'd rather tell you that now than after you apply.

POST 06 / WHO WE WORK FOR

Truck dispatching services for one truck or ten

Owner-operators

One truck, one set of hands. Every hour on the board is an hour you're not driving or sleeping. We take the searching, the broker calls and the check calls, and you keep the last word. Dispatch for owner-operators

New authorities

Many brokers want a few months of history before they'll load a new MC. We aim your search at brokers that accept new authorities and get your packets ready early, so the first yes turns into a load. Dispatch for a new MC

Small fleets

For trucking companies with 2 to 10 trucks, one desk plans every truck together, so your own trucks don't chase the same freight or sit on the same lane. Fleets pay 4% while the rate lasts. Dispatch services for trucking companies

Already paying for a load board? Keep it if you like. A lot of carriers watch the market on their own subscription, and that's fine with us. The difference is who makes the calls, works the brokers and fights for the rate. Dispatcher or load board: which costs you less

Want to see the setup before you commit? It's a phone call, a short agreement, your carrier packets and a talk about your lanes and floor. How truck dispatch works, step by step

POST 07 / FREE RATE TOOLS

Run the numbers before you call a broker

These calculators are free, with no sign-up, whether or not you ever use a dispatch service for truckers. What you type stays in your browser. Set your cost per mile once in My Numbers and every tool picks it up.

Guides worth reading first

POST 08 / MARKET, AS OF THIS WEEK

Public numbers, with the source and the date

We only post market figures that come from a named public source with a date on them, such as USDA truck rate reports and EIA diesel prices. No made-up indexes and no numbers copied from paid dashboards.

Averages are context, nothing more. A national rate tells you which way the wind is blowing. Your own cost per mile tells you whether the load in front of you works.

POST 09 / GET PAID FASTER

Don't wait 30 days on a load you already delivered

Brokers commonly pay on 30-day terms or longer, while fuel and payments come due every week. Factoring sells the invoice for a delivered load to a factoring company, which pays you most of it up front and collects from the broker, for a fee.

We don't factor invoices ourselves. We refer carriers to a factoring partner and may be paid for referrals. It never changes our dispatch fee.

POST 10 / STRAIGHT ANSWERS

Questions carriers ask before they sign up

How much do your truck dispatch services cost?
It's a percentage of the gross on loads you haul: 5% for one truck with authority 6 months or older, 7% for a new MC under 6 months, 26 ft box trucks and hotshots, and 4% for two or more trucks while the fleet rate lasts. No setup fee, no monthly minimum, and no fee in a week you don't haul.
Do you use load boards or direct brokers?
Both. We search the major load boards and work our own broker and shipper contacts at the same time. A posting on a board is a starting point. The phone call, the broker check and the counter are where the rate gets made, and that part is our job, not yours.
Do I have to take every load you find?
No. Every load comes to you before it's booked, with the lane, miles, rate, stops and terms. You say yes or no. If you say yes, the broker sends the rate confirmation straight to you to read and sign. If you say no, you owe nothing and we keep looking.
How do you decide what rate to accept?
We start from your floor rate, the lowest all-in rate per mile you'll run, counting empty miles to the pickup. We counter above it, and we tell you when a market is too soft to reach it. We don't accept anything for you. The final yes or no on every rate is always yours.
Is there a contract or setup fee?
There's no setup fee and no long contract. Service is month-to-month, and you can cancel with 30 days notice. You'll get a short written dispatch agreement after the first call so the fee and terms are on paper before your first load. Nothing about it locks you in.
Do you dispatch new authorities?
Yes. A new MC is harder to book because many brokers want some history first. We aim your search at brokers that accept new authorities and get your carrier packets ready early. The fee for an MC under 6 months is 7% of gross until the authority passes 6 months.
Are you a load board or a freight broker?
Neither. We're a dispatch service that works for the carrier. We don't post loads, sell rate data or take a margin on freight. The broker contracts with your company directly, sends the rate confirmation to you and pays you or your factoring company. We're paid our percentage of what you haul.
Do you dispatch cargo vans, sprinters or small box trucks?
No. We dispatch box trucks 26 ft and longer, plus hotshots, dry vans, reefers, flatbeds, step decks, power only, car haulers, dump trucks, oversize and hazmat tankers. If your box is shorter than 26 ft, our free calculators still work for you, but we can't put it on our board.

Tear one off. A dispatcher calls you back.

You say yes or no to every load. The rate con comes to you. No setup fee. Month-to-month, cancel with 30 days notice.
